Memorial stone to the dog Dora

Not only foresters and the Kaiser's hunting trophies, deer, were given memorial stones. The hunter's eternal companion, a dog named Dora, who lived from 1913 to 1926, was also honored with a stone of her own.

Unfortunately, the breed of the dog is unknown (it may have been a Hanoverian hound), but its owner is known - the huntsman Hermann Kenneweg.

From about 1903, Kenneweg lived at the Hirschthal cordon in the Goldap forestry district. He retired in 1931.
He was the "curator" of the famous deer "Pasha". A memorial stone was erected not far from the cordon. This is now Polish territory.
